The Île de Ré is distinguished by its ease of access by bike. Its very flat terrain means everyone can enjoy it, even if they aren't particularly athletic. It's a destination that's just as suitable for couples as it is for families with children.
The network of cycle paths is particularly well-developed and maintained. It connects all the villages on the island while avoiding the busiest routes, making journeys both easy and safe.
As you wander, the landscapes change rapidly. Within a few kilometres, you can walk alongside the ocean, cross salt marshes, go through forests or stop in a typical village. This diversity makes every outing enjoyable, even over short distances.
Finally, the bicycle is an integral part of the local way of life. On the Île de Ré, it is often more practical to get around by bike than by car, whether it's going to the market, the beach, or simply for a stroll.

Our online bike rental platform allows you to easily book the bike of your choice without having to travel to an agency. Whether you are with family, friends or as a couple, our booking process is simple, fast and secure.
All year round, we offer free collection and delivery of your bikes at your home in all the villages of the Île de Ré.
Bikes must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
We do not deliver for the same day.
If you need to service or repair your bicycle, then come and see us in Ars en Ré. We will advise you and handle the servicing and repair of your bikes.
